Fed Chairman Powell: No sign inflation is falling

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said there are no signs that inflation is declining. The message is that the Fed has a way to control interest rates until they reach a sufficiently restrictive level. As interest rates go higher, it's hard to see a soft landing, and a soft landing for the economy is still possible, but the window is narrowing.
