The Root Network is a decentralized blockchain network optimized for metaverse applications, games, and experiences. It is a metaverse infrastructure and content provider, aiming to create an open metaverse that includes both technological and content components. The key technological components include: The Root Network (a blockchain created for metaverse apps, Substrate-based layer 1, PoS mechanism) + FuturePass (an identity protocol) + a generative AI protocol and platform + communication protocols + character creation technology + payment. The project was initially established by the merger of 11 different companies. By the end of 2022, it had been consolidated into a group of 8 companies, with 3 more joining afterwards. The 11 companies are: game studio @_alteredphoenix, AI provider @altstatemachine, multi-chain payment product connected with the MasterCard network @immersve, design studio @NF_Labs, animation studio Shadows Interactive, digital payment system @centrapay, decentralized digital identity protocol and asset custody protocol developer Centrapass, decentralized communication system developer @sylo, Web3 automotive community @ATEMCarClub, venture studio @centralityai, and digital streetwear community DRx. The Root Network features a unique multi-token economy with tokens capable of optimizing gas and initial user guidance. Users can join and utilize the application's native tokens, while developers can delegate and pay fees on behalf of users. Developers have also established a liquidity pool between their native tokens and the network's gas tokens.
