Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin tweeted that EIP-4844 (proto-danksharding) is a crucial first step to massively lower fees on L2, helping to make it affordable for much larger numbers of users to directly use on-chain applications instead of relying on cefi intermediaries. Previously OP Labs CEO Liam Horne tweeted that Ethereum core devs have a call coming up this Thursday to discuss getting EIP-4844 to be considered for inclusion (CFI).
