Milady NFTs gained widespread attention due to their meme aesthetic, and the project received a boost in May 2023 when Elon Musk tweeted a meme featuring a Milady avatar, stating, "There is no meme, I love you." This tweet greatly increased the visibility of the LADYS token. DWF later joined as a market maker, further amplifying the token's popularity.
