Dear HTX Users,

To enhance our services, HTX will adjust the calculation method of funding rates for USDT-margined Futures and Coin-margined Futures at 00:00 (UTC) on January 8, 2024. The current calculation based on funding rates of the period will be adjusted to real-time funding rates. The new method will be effective starting 08:00 (UTC) on January 8, 2024. Details are as follows:

Before Adjustment:

• The funding rate for each period is calculated based on the data from the previous period. The rate is determined at the beginning of each period and remained fixed throughout, applying to the funding fee settlement at the end of the period.

Example: For the funding rate of the period from 00:00 to 08:00 (UTC), it is calculated based on the data from the previous period of 16:00 to 00:00 (UTC). The funding rate is determined at 00:00 (UTC) and remains unchanged until the settlement at 08:00 (UTC). Therefore, the funding rate for the period will be a constant value.

After Adjustment:

• Starting from the period after the adjustment, real-time funding rates will be used for settlement. Specifically, 00:00 (UTC) on January 8, 2024, the system will calculate the funding fee using the existing funding rate method, while from 08:00 (UTC) onwards after the adjustment, the system will utilize real-time funding rates for calculating the funding fee.

Example: Every day at 08:00 (UTC), the funding fee will be settled with the funding rate calculated by the average premium index between 00:00 (UTC) and 08:00 (UTC) on the same day. Please note that the funding rate may fluctuate until the funding payment deadline, so it is important to manage your positions based on the actual conditions.

USDT-margined futures:

• /linear-swap-api/v1/swap_funding_rate ([General] Get futures funding rates)
• /linear-swap-api/v1/swap_batch_funding_rate ([General] Get batches of futures funding rates)
• /linear-swap-api/v1/swap_historical_funding_rate ([General] Get futures funding rate history)
• public.$contract_code.funding_rate ([General] Subscribe to funding rate push with no authentication required)

Coin-margined perpetual futures:

• /swap-api/v1/swap_funding_rate (Get futures funding rates)
• /swap-api/v1/swap_batch_funding_rate (Get batches of futures funding rates)
• /swap-api/v1/swap_historical_funding_rate (Get futures funding rate history)
• public.$contract_code.funding_rate (Subscribe to funding rate push with no authentication required)

 

The returned parameters for the above interfaces and pushes, including "estimated_rate", "next_funding_time", and "realized_rate" will be discarded and replaced by "null".
