How to Create an HTX Sub-Account

1. What is an HTX Sub-Account?

A sub-account operates under a main account, facilitating mutual asset transfers. It inherits select main account functionalities and shares account details (phone/email/KYC, etc.).

  • Sub-accounts isolate assets and trades. Transfers occur between main and sub-accounts. Sub-accounts trade internally; direct transfers between them are prohibited. Transfer permissions are exclusive to the main account.
  • Sub-accounts have distinct login credentials and API keys, managed by the main account via the web. KYC levels and fee tiers can be shared with the main account.
  • Each main account can create 1,000 sub-accounts, with each sub-account able to create 20 sets of API Keys. These API Keys can be set with read and trade permissions.
  • Sub-account API Keys can also be bound to IP addresses, with the validity period consistent with main account API Keys.
