How to Enhance Your Account Security

Password

Create a strong and unique password that's at least 8 characters long. Include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols, while avoiding common patterns. Don't use easily accessible information like your name, email, birthday, or phone number. Avoid weak passwords such as lihong, 123456, qwerty, huobi123, or abc123. Instead, try formats like W@ng32#4ef, iehie8#We12, or Uith!3Le4.Oa. For added security, change your password periodically (every three months) and make sure each one is unique. Consider using a password manager like 1Password or LastPass to securely store your passwords.

Never share your password with anyone. HTX personnel will never solicit your password.

Two-Factor Authentication

We recommend binding Google Authenticator (GA) for added security. Google Authenticator is a dynamic password tool developed by Google. To set it up, simply use your mobile phone to scan the barcode or enter the key provided by HTX. The authenticator creates a new 6-digit code every few seconds. After setup, a GA code is required for each HTX login.

Watch for Phishing

Exercise caution with emails pretending to be from HTX. Avoid clicking on links or attachments in emails. Before logging in to your HTX account, be sure to confirm that the link is the official HTX website URL. HTX will never ask you for your password, SMS or email verification code, or Google verification code.
