Dear HTX Users,

To improve the management of users' negative equity for a better user experience, HTX will launch a negative equity advance mechanism, along with the related management feature, at 11:00:00 (UTC) on August 28, 2024. With this new mechanism, you will receive an advance from the platform 15 days after negative equity occurs. You can view the details of your debt and repay the advance on the Assets page via our official website.

 

1. Advance Rules:

1) An advance refers to an advance payment that you receive from HTX to cover your negative equity due to losses in trading or other activities. Generally, the platform will advance you the funds 15 days after the negative equity occurs, and no interest will be charged on the advances.

2) When negative equity occurs, your corresponding account will be restricted from P2P selling and withdrawal features, as it triggers risk management. If your debt is repaid within 15 days, the restrictions on your account will be lifted. However, if you fail to repay the debt in time, the platform will advance you a loan to cover the negative equity, and the restrictions will remain. Please repay the advance promptly for the resumption of the affected services.

3) You can check the advanced amount in your financial records.

2. How to Repay Advances:

To repay advances, visit our official website and find Repay on the Assets page. Once repayments are completed, restrictions on your account will be automatically lifted.

1) Log into your HTX account, go to the Assets Overview or Spot page, and click Repay.

2) Choose a crypto for repayment and click Repay. Please note you can use your main account to repay advances for your sub-accounts.

3) Enter a repayment amount and click Confirm. Please note that only assets in your Spot account can be used for repayments. Ensure you have sufficient balance of the repayment crypto before repaying.
